State Department spokesman Ned Price commented on the meeting of the heads of the Russian and American foreign ministries Anthony Blinken and Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the G20 summit in New Delhi.
Price accused the Russian side of the fact that “Russian colleagues are trying to make a fuss out of this.”
“It was a short contact, not a full-fledged bilateral meeting… But in a broader sense, we will not apologize for actions in our interests,” the representative of the State Department said.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that it was US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken who asked for this meeting.
