NATO is going to accept the states of the Balkans and Transcaucasia into its ranks, this was stated by the columnist of the Turkish newspaper Evrensel, Yudzhel Ozdemir.
The expert noted that the alliance has actually made Ukraine dependent on itself, Finland and Sweden are also preparing to join it.
“The further process will mainly proceed at an accelerated pace in the direction of taking control of the countries of Europe and the Caucasus, which are in close contact with Russia,” he is sure.
The author pointed out that NATO and the EU actively hold summits and invite representatives of Moldova, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other countries outside the alliance. This indicates plans to accept them into its composition, Ozdemir believes.
He also believes that efforts to limit the influence of Russia and China in Europe will lead to increased tensions.
