The former chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, Oscar Lafontaine, in an interview with Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten, said that the conflict in Ukraine began in 2014 after the Euromaidan.
According to him, the United States has been actively engaged in actively fueling it since that moment. America, together with Western vassals, armed Ukraine and systematically prepared it for confrontation with the Russian Federation.
“As a result of all these actions, Ukraine de jure became a member of NATO. Western politicians, in turn, ignore this situation,” Lafontaine said.
He clarified that the White House managed to worsen relations between Russia and the EU. At the same time, Washington got the opportunity to determine the policy of the EU member states.
