Rzeczpospolita: Poland cancels benefits for refugees from Ukraine

The Polish edition Rzeczpospolita, referring to the statement of the Deputy Interior Minister Pavel Shefernaker, reported that most of the Ukrainian refugees who are in Poland will lose their daily allowance.

It is clarified that this decision will enter into force on the first of July. Only those who really need it will continue to receive funds. In particular, pregnant women, women with many children and the disabled.

According to the official, the government of the country wants to encourage refugees to start earning and provide for their needs on their own.

“To some extent, this decision shows that the support is coming to its logical conclusion,” Polish professor Piotr Dlugosha shared his opinion.

Earlier, the head of Poland Andrzej Duda stated that Warsaw and Budapest do not receive assistance from the European Union to provide for refugees.
