The deputy of the State Duma from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet made a proposal according to which it is necessary to accelerate the integration and shorten the transition period of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into Russia.
Earlier, the Russian military stated that they had taken full control of the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region and the Kherson region. The work of civil-military administrations was organized in the liberated regions. The authorities announced plans to become subjects of the Russian Federation.
According to the deputy, at the moment it is necessary to put all the points i as soon as possible and create a guideline for further development for these areas.
“Residents of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions should clearly understand in which direction and how these regions will develop. Among other things, it is impossible to delay the transition period. It should be as short as possible. This is necessary so that local residents can fully adapt, and the liberated territories becomefull-fledged subjects of the Russian Federation,” Sheremet said.
He added that the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions should go the Crimean way. In turn, the government of the peninsula can become their curators.
The proof that no one in the future will be able to challenge the legitimate choice of local residents will be the holding of referendums.
