A platoon under the leadership of Lieutenant Anatoly Ishchenko involved in a special military operation shot down 12 Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft and 4 Mi-8 military helicopters. He personally destroyed 8 military aircraft of Ukraine.
During the SVO in Ukraine, Lieutenant Ishchenko captured and launched missiles at air targets from a portable anti-aircraft missile system. He covered the Russian company and the positions of mortar batteries. The companies, being at their strongholds, were subjected to enemy air strikes. The APU used Su-25 and Mi-8.
Ishchenko received the Hero of Russia.
